Biography

Anthony Pernell-McGee is the executive director of Career Exploration and Development and career advisor for the Law & Public Policy career community. He identifies as an African American gay male and is a proud first-gen. Recently, Anthony served as the associate director and director of inclusive career exploration at Williams College. The inaugural position provided Anthony the opportunity to design and implement the Careers with Social Impact portfolio (CSI). The CSI portfolio offers career advising, curated resources, and programming for twelve subfields. As the lead for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), he chaired the career center's DEI working group and worked with BIPOC, first-gen, disabled and LGBTQ+ students and clubs.

Anthony employs his 20+ years of experience as an attorney to advise students and alumni on the admissions process and legal careers. Before joining Williams College, he was the associate director and pre-law advisor at Bates College. Anthony practiced law in Atlanta, Georgia, while serving as an adjunct instructor at Morehouse College and the pre-law program’s interim director.

Anthony is an avid cyclist and loves to share his vegan and juice recipes with his extended family and friends.
