Amanda earned an Associate degree in applied business at Cuyahoga Community College, and a Bachelors degree in non-profit administration through Cleveland State University.
Amanda has worked in education and event planning for the past ten years in various capacities. After completing her degree, she joined the Cleveland Institute of Art as an Enrollment Operations Assistant in the Admissions department. Three years later, she was promoted to Office Manager and Event Coordinator where she restructured and ran the Student Ambassador program, was a founding member of the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Awareness (IDEA) Council, and assisted in the implementation of the colleges inaugural pre-orientation Nunes Scholar program.
As a lifelong lover of the arts and champion for equity, Amanda is excited to be given the opportunity to work at Oberlin College. She is looking forward to bringing her communication, event planning, and teambuilding skills to the Center for Student Success and the Oberlin community.
In her free time, Amanda likes to hike, dance, read, cook, and play with her dogs. She also enjoys photography, fiber arts, sculpture, and theater as well.
