Biography

Amanda Shelnutt provides strategic leadership to first-generation and income-eligible (FGIE) student support services on campus. As the director of 1st gen student success, Amanda manages the Peer Mentor program, provides direct oversight of the BGM Scholars program and instructs the LEAD 110:F1RST at Oberlin course, acts as cochair of the Oberlin chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha (first-generation honors society), and chairs the FGIE Advisory Board. She also manages the daily operations and communications within the Center for Student Success.
