The Academic Advising Resource Center offers a range of services and resources to assist you in your academic endeavors at Oberlin. Our staff and your academic advisors will guide you as necessary in such areas as course selections and scheduling, academic and degree planning, registration and more. 


AdviseStream supports students in managing their academic and career paths. Visual planners encourage students to set aspirations and goals, reflect upon their academic and cocurricular experiences, create plans for their future academic career, and design their cocurricular experiences.

Blackboard is the college’s course management software. Faculty routinely use Blackboard (Bb) to provide course materials for students to access anytime via the web, provide interactive study guides, develop discussion boards, implement online quizzes, send e-mail to students in courses, among others uses.

Our Blackboard suite allows for other uses including instructional support for faculty, a syllabus builder, discussions boards for campus groups, departments and offices, virtual classroom/ collaboration tools, assessents and surveys, among other online tools.

Degree Works

Degree Works is a comprehensive web-based, academic advising and degree audit tool that helps students and their advisors successfully navigate curriculum requirements. This system allows for real-time academic advising, streamlined degree planning and more.

Degree Works has a number of useful functions for students as they plan their academic courses.

You can access Degree Works through PRESTO.


PRESTO stands for Personal Records for Employees and Students. It is our online records system used by employees and students at Oberlin College. Once you have established an account in PRESTO, you can access these records indefinitely.

What you can do in PRESTO:
  • Check your registration status (registration appointments and holds)
  • Look up classes, add/drop classes, and change variable credit hours
  • Check your course schedule
  • Check your academic record, transcript, and midterm and final grades
  • Check Degree Works for progress toward degree completion
  • Review information about your financial aid, if applicable
  • Request an audit of your degree requirements
  • View your statement and personal information

To log in to PRESTO you will need your T-number (Oberlin College ID number) and your Personal Identification Number (PIN).Should you  forget or lose your T-number and or PIN, contact the Office of the Registrar.
