Love isn’t colorblind: A critical race research talk on Asian Americans’ body image and racialized dating preferences.

Body image and racialized dating preferences have emerged as hot topics in the Asian American community both inside and outside of academic spheres. In this research presentation, Dr. Thomas Le, Ph.D., will present two to three studies centering on Asian Americans’ body image and dating preferences. Study implications pertain to dismantling internalized racism and fostering difficult yet necessary conversations about how race and racism manifest both in the public and private spheres, including but not limited to the Asian American LGBTQ+ community. There will be ample opportunity for discussion and Q&A.
