The Oberlin-alumni founded woodwind quintet Imani Winds collaborates with cellist Seth Parker Woods, pianist Cory Smythe, and actor Michael Braugher '14 in a program anchored by Jeff Scott’s Fallen Petals of Nameless Flowers, which tells the stories of four Michiganders who were sentenced to life without parole as juveniles.

Text for the work features poetry by Robert Laidler based on the lived experiences of the four men, now in their 40s and 50s, who were handed mandatory sentences of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole while in their teens, and released only after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the practice unconstitutional.

There will be a preconcert panel discussion beginning at 6:45 p.m. in Warner Concert Hall.

In-Person Only. Free admission. No tickets required.
