Folk Fest 2024

The Oberlin Folk Music Club presents: Folk Fest 2024. 

May 2nd through 4th

Featuring performances by world-class bands - Talisk, Cactus Rose, The Shoats, Chrysalis, and more TBA! There will also be a student and local band showcase, workshops, and jams throughout the weekend.

The Folk Music Club is an entirely student organized folk music festival at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. The college has a rich history of student organized folk music programming-starting in the 1950s with the founding of the Oberlin Folk Song Club (Joe Hickerson). Although that original organization no longer exists by title, the folk music scene has steadily grown and changed throughout the years. The inaugural Folk Fest was initiated by Ellen Stanley and Josh Ritter back in 1999. Currently there is Folk Music Club, Folk Fest, Banjo Society, Songwriting Club, Contra Dance Club, and Dandelion Romp Contra Dance Festival.
