Biography

Ed Vermue has thirty years of library, rare book, and preservation experience, and has been part of Oberlin College since 2000. Since 2010 Ed has overseen the establishment and operation of the library’s letterpress and papermaking studios, and is a member of the Book Studies committee. Ed’s position in the library is heavily weighted towards library instruction, collection building, and interpretation.

Examining East Asian Book Technologies and Formats

Designed by library staff members Ed Vermue and Runxiao Zhu and curated by students in the course East Asian Book Cultures, an exhibit about East Asian book technologies and formats was recently showcased in the main library.
