Biography

Clara Margaret Flood is a geoscientist, GIS web developer, and cartographer. While an undergraduate at Oberlin, she conducted research in the Department of Geosciences using oxygen isotopes, mineral assemblages, and computational modeling to study subduction zones.

At the University of Madison-Wisconsin, she studied GIS and cartography, and brought her passion for those subjects back to Oberlin with her, where she now enjoys working in the lively Geosciences Department, managing the labs and collections, and teaching GIS.

In addition to her work at the college, she sometimes partners with local community members to conduct spatial analyses and other research.
