Participant Screen Sharing

When creating new meetings, some users have discovered that Zoom does not allow participants to share their screen, even when the global account settings are set to allow participant screen sharing in all meetings. To change this setting during a meeting:

  1. In the menu bar at the bottom of the window, choose Security.
  2. Check the option that reads "Allow participants to: Share Screen"

Student Zoom Accounts

All Oberlin students and recent graduates have free, basic Zoom accounts. Basic Zoom accounts allow users to host up to 100 participants for up to 40 minutes. Recent graduates and current students alike can continue to use these accounts throughout the summer to communicate with professors, colleagues, and friends.
