The Pigeons of Finney Chapel Discuss Things
Front exterior of Finney Chapel. Five pigeons stand on ledges and around the circular window. The window is shaped like a pie chart, mostly red with one slice yellow. Dialogue follows.
Stats Pigeon: 88% of Oberlin students on campus are using the daily symptom survey. (Points at the window.)
Positive Vibes Pigeon: That's great!
Striver Pigeon: True, but we could do better. (Extends wings.)
Wary Pigeon: Hey, was that window always a pie chart? (Scratches beak.)

Vaccine webinar for students on April 6
On Tuesday, April 6, at 2 p.m., Oberlin will host a webinar for all Oberlin students with Dave Covell, Commissioner, Lorain County Public Health; Dr. James Anthony, FAAFP Mercy Health Select; and Katie Gravens, COVID-19 Health Coordinator. This webinar will kick off with a brief presentation about the COVID-19 vaccine, with a majority of the time dedicated to providing an opportunity for students to ask questions via the Q&A function in Zoom.
Registration is required. Your Oberlin email address is required.
To register, please use this link.
We kindly ask that only students register for this webinar. Q&A and potentially future webinars may be made available to parents, faculty, and staff. The purpose of this webinar is primarily for students to learn about the vaccine and to ask questions.
ObieSafe behind the scenes: Campus Safety
The Office of Campus Safety remained the 24-hour office on campus when students had to leave in March 2020, and later when several staff members began working remotely. The office has implemented many changes and taken on news tasks while maintaining regular duties. In this Q&A, Director of Campus Safety Mike Martinsen and Assistant Director of Campus Safety Clif Barnes explain how their department has navigated the COVID-19 pandemic.
