Molly Cravens, Office of Admissions

Hello! I’m Molly, an associate director of admissions here at Oberlin. I moved around a lot growing up; I tell people I’m “from” Michigan, but really it’s much more complicated! I’ve also lived in Pennsylvania, Colorado, California, London, and (most recently) New York City. Though I’ve been all over, I consider the Midwest to be home and am so happy to now be in Ohio. I studied linguistics in college and am a huge language nerd. I love writing and am always on the lookout for great (or terrible) puns.

When I’m not at work, I fill my time playing a cornucopia of instruments, crafting, hiking, watching Jeopardy, and hunting for Yeobie out on Tappan Square. I don’t have any pets (unless you count plants), but I get my fill of dogs through volunteering with the Berea Animal Rescue Fund.

My favorite part of this job is helping students with the college search process and figuring out which school is the best fit for them. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or topics you’d like me to write about!

Ah, fall. A magical time of apple picking, pumpkin spice everything ( Pringles , seriously?!), and, in the case of admissions offices around the country: Travel Season.
