Launch of the Full Measure Symptoms Monitoring Tool

Office of the President

Greetings Faculty, Staff, Students, and Parents,

Monday, August 17, starts the campus-wide implementation of Full Measure, our symptoms monitoring tool of Oberlin’s COVID-19 strategy

As part of this layered approach, Full Measure will help us keep ourselves and our community safe and accountable to one another by taking each of us through a self-assessment each day before we go to class, work, or other places on campus. The series of questions will evaluate your daily symptoms, if any, and advise you on next steps should you be ill. We are requiring our campus to participate in this monitoring, and you may be asked to show your daily clearance in different parts of campus.

A smartphone with a web page visible. There is a big green checkmark in the middle.

As part of readying ourselves for fall semester, please practice taking part in Full Measure daily beginning on Monday, August 17. You will receive an email on Monday containing a link to your first symptom survey and instructions on how to complete it.

As another important part of preparing to come to campus, we also remind you of the best practices and protections we are asking our students, faculty, and staff to take over the next few weeks. It is important that for up to two weeks prior to your arrival on campus, you are particularly diligent in your efforts to protect yourself from exposure to COVID-19. This includes wearing masks when in public or anytime you are with others inside, maintaining 6 feet of physical distance from others, and consistently washing your hands. Everyone should avoid large gatherings, especially those where others are not wearing a mask. Each part of our layered approach will keep our campus safe and healthy this fall.
