Biography

As a Master of social work student, Ali values therapeutic relationships crafted through a strengths-based lens. Collaboration and a client-centered approach support the creation of a brave space that allows students to thrive and build personalized communities of care. With a passion for holistic wellness, balancing dimensions of wellness, creativity, and values helps to guide and inform practice. In the spirit of student advocacy, Ali embraces multicultural and feminist perspectives to help deconstruct internalized narratives. 

Ali’s professional passions include generalized anxiety, PTSD, depression, stress management, mindfulness, and women’s issues. She is inspired by a variety of therapeutic models such as:  Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with Expressive Arts and Play inspired therapies. She looks forward to connecting with students through one on one therapy, group therapy, workshops, and LEAD classes.
