Biography

As a licensed social worker, Ali values therapeutic relationships crafted through a strengths-based lens. Collaboration and a client-centered approach support the creation of a brave space that allows students to thrive and build personalized communities of care. With a passion for holistic wellness, prioritizing the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of students guides her professional practice. Additionally, utilizing creative processes to uncover intentions and values throughout the therapeutic journey remain at the core of each relationship. In the spirit of student advocacy, Ali embraces multicultural and feminist perspectives to help deconstruct internalized narratives and build a sense of belonging on campus.

Ali’s professional passions include connecting with those who are experiencing generalized anxiety, PTSD, depression, stress management, mindfulness, and women’s issues. She is inspired by a variety of therapeutic models such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with expressive arts and play-inspired therapies. She looks forward to connecting with students through one on one therapy, group therapy, workshops, and LEAD classes.
