But those answers will take shape during your time at Oberlin, and our Career Exploration and Development office is your first stop for exploring, experiencing, and—yes—launching your professional life.

We can help you discover your passions and build the skills you need to find your direction. Whether you’re still figuring things out or have a clear vision in mind, our holistic coaching is designed to support you every step of the way.

We offer one-on-one advising, free professional headshots, cohort programs that match you with peers with similar interests, and Career Communities that connect you to alumni and others who are established in professions that align with what you love. 

We’ll even pay you to gain valuable experience through our Internship+ program and other immersive opportunities.

There’s a long, fascinating road ahead of you. A great first step is to set up your profile in Handshake, a vital tool that places a vast database of internships and career possibilities at your fingertips—and that potential employers may use to find you. You’ll use it to upload application materials, track your progress, schedule career advising appointments, and register for workshops and other events.
