Issue 12: We Love Moving Experiences!

You definitely don’t need to be an Oberlin athlete to take full advantage of our extensive athletics complex and all the recreation and wellness programs available here.
Stop by Shanks Health and Wellness Center and Philips Physical Education Center to check out our dedicated spaces for weight training, yoga, cycling, running, swimming, rock climbing, basketball, tennis, and just about everything else you can imagine.
Get involved whenever your schedule allows, or take part in a variety of activities and challenges presented by YeoFit & Rec—our wellness-for-all program, designed to energize, empower, and engage each member of our campus community. Interested in being part of a team? Join one of our many available club sports and intramural sports, which are open to newbies and seasoned competitors alike.
Of course, we love cheering on our Yeomen and Yeowomen varsity teams, who participate in 21 NCAA Division III sports—which means there’s incredible action happening on campus throughout the year! Oberlin is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference—the first conference to place equal emphasis on men’s and women’s sports—and our athletes routinely earn top weekly and seasonal honors. We look forward to seeing you bring the Obie spirit to our games this fall!
