The Ashby Business Scholars Program prepares students from all majors for careers in business, consulting, finance, and related fields through coursework, professional development, alumni engagement, and immersive career experiences.

What is the Ashby Business Scholars Program?

The Ashby Business Scholars Program is a selective career development program that prepares Oberlin students for careers in business, consulting, and finance. Through a two-credit course, employer engagement, alumni networking, case studies, and career experiences, students develop the knowledge, skills, and professional connections needed to pursue internships and careers in the business world.

The program culminates in a Winter Term career experience where scholars visit leading employers and connect with Oberlin alumni working across a variety of industries.

  • Rising sophomores through seniors
  • Open to students from all majors
  • Competitive selection process (14 scholars selected annually)

Cost

  • Travel and accommodations are largely subsidized through the generous support of Oberlin alumni.

How to Apply

Step 1

Submit an online application during the spring semester.

Step 2

Selected applicants are invited to interview.

Step 3

Scholars are notified during the summer and begin the program in the fall.
