Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Become a Certified Emergency Medical Technician.

Oberlin students took part in an accelerated EMT training session at Lorain County Community College's University Partnership Ridge Campus (UPRC) in North Ridgeville. This was the Career Exploration & Development's second year running this program but the first with LCCC as a partner. While at LCCC students observed a lecture and participated in skills practices.

What is the EMT Program?

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program provides Oberlin students with the opportunity to earn EMT certification while gaining practical healthcare experience. Through classroom instruction, hands-on training, and clinical learning, students develop the technical, communication, and critical thinking skills needed to respond confidently in emergency situations.
