Your New Student Orientation at Oberlin is just around the corner! Virtual sessions begin Monday, August 10, then resume in person when you get to campus on Friday, August 21.
You can find the complete Orientation schedule on Oberlin.edu.
Orientation activities are designed to help you build connections and friendships, navigate your first classes, and introduce you to academic advising. You’ll also learn about important campus offices, resources, and your new home here. Finally, we’ll help you understand our inclusive community, our commitment to equity, and important policies that help us ensure everyone’s safety.
On Wednesday, August 26—the first day of classes!—New Student Orientation transitions to Welcome Week, which could be a little misleading: It’s actually multiple weeks of concerts, open houses, special meals, and other fun events open to everyone. Keep up with it all by reading the Campus Digest, our daily email to everyone at Oberlin.
Traffic patterns at Oberlin College will change for one day on Friday, August 21, as outlined here.
TO DO THIS WEEK: Attend the virtual sessions that begin this week. Have a question about New Student Orientation or Welcome Week? Reach out to the Director of Orientation, Tina Zwegat, at tzwegat@oberlin.edu.
