My time at Oberlin was defined by community organizing efforts that fostered a deep solicitude for the future of our institution and the legacy we carry forward. Through my involvement in Student Senate and Students for a Free Palestine, I became well-versed in Board of Trustees operations and saw how shortcomings in transparency have impacted our community. In April 2024 and 2025, I worked with concerned peers to submit divestment proposals to sever Oberlin's financial ties to weapons manufacturers. In March 2026, I presented to the Board of Trustees on concerns with inconsistency of staffing across departments and offices, repression of student protests, and the safety of undocu-plus students on campus. As Class Trustee, I will continue to advocate on behalf of these issues that disproportionately impact Oberlin’s marginalized student populations. With your vote, I will work to preserve Oberlin’s humanistic values and restore our leadership in liberal arts education.
