Alumnus William Goldman '52 Dies

Acclaimed screenwriter and novelist William Goldman '52 died on Friday, November 16, 2018, in New York City. He was 87.
At Oberlin, Goldman was the fiction editor of a literary magazine and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English. He went on to graduate school at Columbia University and eventually pursued a career as a writer. He received Academy Awards for his screenplays of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and All the President’s Men.
