Biography

Tara T. Woods is a higher education leader and mental health professional with over a decade of experience supporting student wellbeing, inclusion, and success. She currently serves as the director of student health promotion and prevention services at Oberlin, where she leads campuswide initiatives in health education, wellness, and student support. Woods holds an EdD in mental health counseling, an MS in forensic psychology, and a BS in criminal justice. She is a certified QPR Gatekeeper Instructor and NASPA Certified Peer Education trainer. Her professional background spans clinical coordination, crisis response, case management, and cocurricular education, with a focus on holistic, trauma-informed, and data-driven approaches to student care. Passionate about equity and access, she works collaboratively across campus to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
