It’s not too late to get your tickets for Thursday’s Punch Brothers concert! The genre-defying progressive ensemble plays tomorrow, February 19, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel.
The Punch Brothers are in their second year of residency at the Oberlin Conservatory, where they engage in coaching sessions, master classes, lectures, and performances. On December 3, members of the band were named Affiliate Scholars, a rare distinction given in recognition of significant professional achievement.
Tomorrow evening’s concert will feature music from the band’s new album, The Phosphorescent Blues, as well as other sounds that span the worlds of bluegrass, classical, and beyond. Following the performance, the band will begin a nationwide tour that starts with two sold-out dates in Washington, D.C.
Tickets for students are just $10 with ID and $20 for the general public. You can purchase tickets at Oberlin’s Central Ticket Service at Hall Auditorium from noon to 5 p.m. or by calling 800-371-0178.
