Established in July, 1902 by a gift from Merritt Starr. The Prize is awarded by the Politics Department to outstanding graduating seniors in the studies of civics, economics, political history, and kindred subjects.

The Harold S. Geneen Charitable Trust provides scholarships to economics or politics majors who have a demonstrated interest in responsible corporate management and governance and whose financial resources are augmented by their own efforts.

Through the James C. Gaither Junior Fellows program, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace offers approximately 15 one-year fellowships to uniquely qualified graduating seniors and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. They are selected from a pool of nominees nominated by several hundred participating universities and colleges.
