Since our first year, Oberlin has provided less while charging more. Despite losing common spaces, off-campus housing, beloved professors, and dining options, Obies are responding with initiative: record numbers chose OSCA’s student-led kitchens, my Oberlin Athletics friends finished their strongest season in decades, and our Folk music community is thriving.

For my part, I led Rideline’s post-pandemic return, including raising $23,000 in emergency funds. I helped lead GEF, awarding grants for regional sustainability and paving the way for carbon neutrality at Oberlin.

I’ve spent years navigating bureaucracies: I’ve worked with Oberlin’s Trustees as a GEF leader and have served on a Maine nonprofit’s board and executive team since high school. I know how to collaborate and get things done.

As your trustee, I’ll advocate for investment in academics, particularly our libraries and professors. I’ll challenge opaque decision-making. I’ll demand an endowment that matches Oberlin’s values—including divestment from foreign wars.
