An accomplished former professional cellist, Sally Takada has been a fundraiser in the higher education and arts sectors for the past fifteen years. She has been a member of the advancement team for Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music since 2017, and was appointed conservatory giving director at Oberlin in 2020.
She has held lead development posts at Music@Menlo Chamber Music Festival and Institute, University of Illinois School of Music, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and the WonderLab Museum of Science. She frequently serves as a presenter and facilitator of fundraising training sessions for non-profit organizations, conferences, and workshops. Takada is a member of the board of directors of the Oberlin Center for the Arts.
