Victor Manuel Zuno II

Biography

Victor Manuel Zuno II is a STEM Fellow at Oberlin College, where he has completed a double major in Geosciences and Environmental Geology. His experience spans geological research, environmental consulting, data analysis, and community education. Victor has completed field research examining shale core samples from the Permian Basin with Professor Maximiliano Paz, supported sustainability and ESG initiatives on campus, and developed an environmental geology curriculum focused on food sovereignty and urban agriculture.

A Posse Scholar and Mellon Foundation Food Justice Scholar, Victor is passionate about making science accessible and applying research to real-world environmental and community challenges. Outside of his professional work, he is a proud Chicago native, a twin, and a sous chef who enjoys bringing creativity and collaboration into the kitchen.
