"La Jota" A Performance by Katherine Bahena-Benitez

Katherine-Bahena Benitez is a queer, Mexican indigenous playwright, actress, and poet. In this performance she will do a semi-short reading of her play La Jota which follows the story of a young queer Mexican indigenous woman as she prepares to leave home and begin a journey of self-discovert. Following this, depending on time, we will have a Q&A with Katherine where she will also discuss the importance of storytelling while sharing her own personal journey in storytelling.
