Biography

Christopher J. Jorgenson is the Assistant Vice President and Dean for Intercultural Engagement at Oberlin College and Conservatory. Leveraging his experience as a Queer, first-generation college student born and raised in the rural Midwest, Jorgenson has more than 16 years serving underrepresented student populations in higher education. Jorgenson received congressional recognition from the state of Wisconsin for his advocacy, education, and community-building contributions and is a sought-after public speaker, regularly engaging diverse communities throughout the United States on issues of equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, and access.

Outside of his professional career, Christopher can be found with friends, in a movie theater, on a plane, or hunkered down with a book.
