Transitioning to GlobalProtect VPN

We are excited to introduce our new Virtual Private Network (VPN) client, GlobalProtect, which now comes with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for added security. This enhanced VPN solution will replace our current AnyConnect VPN that only relies on password authentication. Rest assured, GlobalProtect offers access to all the same resources as the AnyConnect VPN.

Steps to Upgrade

You will need to download and set up the new VPN client on your device. This client integrates the familiar Okta authentication dialogue and provides an added layer of protection for both your account and our campus resources.

Timeline for Transition

The current AnyConnect VPN will remain operational until the end of the fall semester. After that, all off-campus VPN access will be exclusively through Palo Alto’s GlobalProtect VPN.
