New motion to rezone fails; College at a loss

Oberlin College’s initiative to build 220 new student beds next fall sustained a severe blow this Monday when city council rejected a revised proposal for construction at the Johnson estate.

Bigger problems underlying OC housing debate?

The South Asian Students Association imbued their annual Mizaaj performance last Saturday with striking political awareness, staging a play protesting India’s alleged participation in killing raids that have claimed 2,000 Muslim lives during the last two years.

Legendary violinist still provocative at age 80

Violinist Ida Haendel, the last living performer of the 19th Century violin school, performed at age 80 in Oberlin’s Artist Recital Series Tuesday night.
