Biography

I am currently a graduate student in counseling psychology at the University of Akron, where I am working toward a PhD. I earned a BA in psychology at the University of Oklahoma, and I am originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado.

My approach to therapy has the idea that an individual in all their humanness and their context are at the foundation (a humanistic and multicultural approach). I believe that a lot of healing and growth can happen in the context of an authentic, open, and vulnerable therapeutic relationship. I am interested in identity development, especially in the context of how we make meaning in the world and our connections to other people.
