Spend Winter Term in Oberlin

To the Editors:

Hurray for Winter Term at Oberlin! Spending a quiet month in Oberlin can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Even more so this year, since different groups on campus have coordinated their efforts at enriching the Winter Term community. For this reason, I’d like to encourage those who’ve never spent a January on campus to stay this year. Read the calendar of Winter Term Entertainment that will appear soon here in the Review, in your dorm, in Wilder and in your OCMR. You’ll see that there’s no way you could be bored if you stayed here (which you couldn’t possibly say about January touring Ireland, backpacking Utah or staying at home with mom and dad).
Cross-CountrySkiing, Obielympics, Capture the Flag, Events Buses, movies in Wilder, gourmet dinners, late night coffeehouses in the Rat, Country Skateland, free bowling and billiards…plus the forum on Sept. 11 (headquartered in Wilder), learn-to-knit circle, halftime competitions at the Women’s and Men’s Basketball games, a service day on MLK, Jr. Day and hot chocolate and popcorn every Monday and Friday in Wilder. Fun stuff, no? So take advantage of all that Oberlin has to offer!
