The following is a compilation of weekly reports from the Office of Safety and Security.

Jan. 31, 1:32 p.m. Campus Security Officers responded to a report of a person burning unknown items outside of Rice Hall. The fire was contained in aluminum pans and had burned out. The items were found to belong to the person burning them.

Feb. 1, 1:05 a.m. While on routine patrol a Campus Security Officer located a small swimming pool in the lounge of Kade. After checking with staff it was learned they were having a pool party and the items would be cleaned up.

8:12 a.m. A Campus Security Officer responded to Langston Hall upon receiving a report of an ambulance being there. An ill student was transported to Allen Memorial Hospital for treatment.

8:14 a.m. While on routine patrol a Campus Security Officer located a broken window in the west hallway of Langston Hall. A work order was filed for repair.

Feb. 3, 4:54 a.m. A Campus Security Officer responded to a report of graffiti on the front doors of Sperry Neuroscience. Red paint had been thrown on the doors and white paint on the sidewalks. A work order was filed for cleanup.

7:29 p.m. A Campus Security Officer responded to the report of a gas smell in Warner Center. Physical Plant personnel were called out due to the strong odor. The cause was from a blocked hot water chimney.

Feb. 4, 12:26 a.m. Campus Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Oberlin Inn. The alarm was activated by cigarette smoke.

8:15 a.m. Campus Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Talcott. The cause of the alarm was found to be a faulty smoke detector.

8:46 p.m. Campus Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Keep. The cause of the alarm was found to be smoke from burning incense.

Feb. 5, 2:40 a.m. While on routine patrol, a Campus Security Officer observed a vehicle parked in the tree lawn at East Hall. Upon further investigation it was found that the vehicle was stuck in the mud and caused approximately $250.00 damage.

7:45 a.m. A Campus Security Officer responded to a theft report at Langston Hall. Taken was an Aiwa, AM/FM CD player.

5:50 p.m. Campus Security Officers and Oberlin Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Keep. The alarm was caused by smoke from burning incense.

9:20 p.m. A Campus Security Officer responded to a theft report from Philips Gym, men's locker room. Missing items included credit cards and $8.00 cash. Oberlin Police Department also responded.
