Awareness responsibility of everyone

To the Editor:

We would like to remind everyone that April is Sexual Assault Awareness month. We believe that awareness is the responsibility of every member of the community.

Having just heard Katie Koestner address issues relating to sexual assault here on campus on April 9, we thought it important to remind everyone that there are people with whom they can talk, should anyone wish to know more about the College's sexual assault policy or to report an instance of a sexual offense.

Students Alexandra Galovich and Mike Murphy, UAW worker Bev Cannon, A&PS member Jane McCarthy, and OCOPE Janice Sitar are this semester's OC Sexual Offense Policy Advocates. They stand ready to help anyone on campus with questions about Oberlin College's Sexual Offense Policy and what to do about incidents of sexual assault or harassment.
