Lacrosse in Brief

The Oberlin College men’s lacrosse team started off their season with an away game on Wednesday March 8 at Division II Wheeling Jesuit University. Although the Yeomen put forth a strong effort, they fell short, ultimately losing the game 14-3.

Some of the bright spots for the Yeomen were juniors Bryan Harfenist, Ian Dias and senior Will Jaffee, who all chipped in with a goal apiece. Jaffee and senior Andrew Crosby also contributed with an assist each.

The Yeomen started the game strong, scoring the first goal, but quickly fell behind 3-1.

By the end of the first half the Yeomen were looking at an eight-point deficit, trailing 9-1. Although the second half went slightly better than the first, the Yeomen could not surmount the margin in scores.

The Yeomen look to bounce back in their next game, which comes on Wednesday, March 15 at Washington and Jefferson University.
