With a tough loss to Wittenberg College last weekend, the Oberlin men’s soccer team was quick to bounce back, as they destroyed Hiram College,4-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Last year the Yeomen tied Hiram with a final score of 1-1. That was not the case this time, as Oberlin’s offense dominated throughout the entire game.

Three of the Yeomen’s four goals were all scored in the first half of the game. Goals by seniors David Wilson, Sebas Constante and Josh Treuhaft helped propel Oberlin to the victory.

Wilson scored his second goal in the second half on an assist from sophomore Sam Zackheim. The goal put away the Terriers for good, giving the Yeomen their third conference win.

Goalkeeper Clayton Combe had another shutout for the Yeomen. With an impressive 11 saves, he makes it hard for any team to score.

The Yeomen’s overall record stands at 6-6-2, leaving their NCAC record at 3-1-1. This Saturday at 12 p.m. they host the Wabash Little Giants.

Last year the Yeomen beat Wabash 1-0, which means that the Little Giants are going to be gunning for Oberlin. Wabash College has a conference record of 2-3 in the NCAC.
