To register for the Baroque Performance Institute, please complete the online application by May 20th.
Once you complete the application and click the “submit” button, you will be sent to an electronic payment site to pay the $100 deposit (credit card or electronic checking/savings account). This deposit will be subtracted from the total payment amount due. You may also skip this system, and instead send a check payable to Oberlin College and mail to:

A limited number of high school students - advanced performers with a keen interest in Baroque music are accepted to the Baroque Performance Institute by audition. Two-week attendance is mandatory. The two-week program fee is $550. On-campus housing is additional. You can choose to have meals on your own at one of the many eateries in town or purchase meals through the meal plan. Please include a $30 application fee.

The cost to participate in the Baroque Performance Institute is as follows:
- One-week fee: $575
- Two-week fee: $1,100
- Admitted High School students - student must attend for both weeks: $550
Audit participation (observing, no performance)
- One week: $250
- Two weeks: $500
- Per day: $60
- Private lessons: $50 per 45-minute session*
On-Campus Housing (no air-conditioning, shared hall bathrooms)
Meals on your own, area restaurants, campus dining hall (pay-per-meal), small unfurnished residence hall kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave.
- $275/one-week private room, $525/two-week stay in a single room
- $250/one-week shared double room, $480/two-week stay in a shared, double room, each person
*Private lesson arrangements made with a BPI faculty member. You may purchase lesson tickets before or during the institute.
You may make an electronic payment with a credit card, or if you prefer to send a check, make it payable to Oberlin College and mail to address noted above.
Oberlin Conservatory of Music offers one college-level music elective credit at no extra charge for attendees who participate in all Institute activities for the full two-week program (including performances in the final concerts, and at least two private lessons). To request a transcript for this credit, please complete the order form.
