Biography
Shaun is a dedicated higher education professional with a sports and diversity relations background. He earned his Bachelor of Science in sports and exercise science and his Master of Education at the University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio. Previously, Shaun worked as an admissions representative for the University of Rio Grande and then moved over to Heidelberg University, where he was the head coach of golf and the assistant coach of men's and women's basketball. In 2020, he was promoted to Director of Multicultural Student Affairs at Heidelberg University. In that role, he co-chaired the diversity, equity, and inclusion committee. Most recently, Shaun worked for the Community Shelter Board, a non-profit in Columbus, Ohio, as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
As a first-generation college student, Shaun is aware of the challenges many college students face. He is excited to bring his knowledge and professional expertise to Oberlin and the Center for Student Success.
Shaun likes to spend time on the lake fishing and relaxing in his free time.
