Lavender Graduation

Lavender Graduation is a tradition at Oberlin College and Conservatory which celebrates the accomplishments of LGBTQ+ graduates as they finish their time here on campus.

All graduating LGBTQ+ students are invited to participate. All participants are recognized for their accomplishments, given a cord, and are able to name a Significant Supporter who will be honored on our website and within the program.

A Significant Supporter is someone who has been influential during a student's journey through education; this can be a mentor, family member, friend, or someone else who has helped them on their journey.

There is no cost to participate in this ceremony. If you are a senior graduating in the Spring or Fall of 2023 and would like to participate in this year's ceremony, please reach out to us at The deadline to sign up to participate in this year's ceremony has passed.

Any & all members of the campus community as well as friends & family of the graduates are invited to attend Lavender Graduation.
