Mary Gray previously held the position of associate dean for Student Academic Affairs at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Prior to this appointment, she served as Oberlin’s director of conservatory development for seven years.
While serving as director of conservatory development, Gray was involved in funding projects including the construction of the Kohl Building and several new endowed professorships. She has also mentored student entrepreneurs from both the college and conservatory as part of Oberlin’s Creativity & Leadership Project.
Gray comes from a background in music, having studied piano as an undergraduate. She was the director of admissions at the Interlochen Arts Academy, after which she spent 10 years as associate dean for admissions at the Juilliard School before arriving at Oberlin College.
