Biography

Joshua Gory serves as the assistant director for career readiness in the Career Development Center. In this role, he provides one-on-one career advising and career education programming, leads the Nonprofit and the Public Sector and Education Career Communities, performs campus outreach with various campus partners for career-related programming, and liaises with the International Student Resource Center to provide career support for international students.

Prior to joining Oberlin, Gory worked in the area of international student advising for more than four years and supported international students in planning and pursuing their career goals. He also worked for two years as an assistant language teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program in Kyoto Prefecture in Japan. 

When not at work, Gory likes cooking and seeking new recipe ideas, spending time with family and friends, playing games, and traveling as much as he can. He looks forward to working with Obies on their career plans and goals.
