Biography
My name is Jonnathan De La Fuente, and I serve as the Director of International Programs and Study Away.
I am a first-generation college graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles, a veteran of the US Armed Forces, and the son of immigrant parents (my mother is from El Salvador and my father is from Chile).
My love for study away began when I studied abroad during my undergraduate career in three different countries consequentially for over a year: Sweden for a summer term, China for the fall semester, and Japan for the spring semester. I continued my love of study abroad by traveling to South Korea for over a year and a half.
I look forward to serving Oberlin College on study-away opportunities that will contribute towards a dynamic educational experience for our community.
