Biography
Jeanette Albert is the Business and Operations Manager within the Dean’s Office. She comes to Oberlin after 5 years in a role as Executive Director of a nonprofit organization fighting against human trafficking in Lorain and Erie counties. Jeanette’s professional background includes work in the nonprofit sector, administration, and the field of human resources.
In her role as Business and Operations Manager, Jeanette is responsible for supporting all financial and operational functions in the Arts and Sciences division, working closely with the Chief Business Officer, the Dean and Associate Deans, and the A&S academic departments and programs. Additionally, Jeanette provides administrative support for the Institutional Review Board (IRB) committee and manages StudiOC.
Jeanette is a Faith Alliance Against Slavery and Trafficking Trainer of Trainers, certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid, and certified yoga instructor. When she is able, she volunteers with juveniles placed in the local detention centers and as a CASA guardian ad litem. Of particular interest and passion, holistic health and human behavior are ongoing areas of study for her.
Apart from work, she loves to spend time with her kids and her dogs, kayak, explore, read, tend to her herbal garden and make her own tea blends.
