Miloš With No Jacket is a short narrative film set in Prague, exploring the intersection of Czech-American identity and iconography. Through experimental sound design and imagery inspired by Josef Koudelka’s Invasion 68: Prague photo series. The film tells the story of Miloš, a middle-aged Czech man attempting to refute his own mortality by impersonating the timeless American icon James Dean. While on the run from bar patrons who he previously wronged, Miloš meets a young American boy who becomes magnetized to Miloš’s performance. Fascinated by this mythic role model, the boy follows him deep into the alleyways of Prague where the lines between fantasy and reality become blurred; the cobbled streets of the city transforms into pathways that lead into the characters’ minds.
