Matthew Dion is a native of Somerset, MA and a third-year undergraduate organ performance major at Oberlin College and Conservatory. At Oberlin, Matthew is currently a student of Dr. Jonathan Moyer. He has also studied organ with Arvid Gast, James David Christie, Christa Rakich, Dexter Kennedy, Dr. Steven Young, David Carrier, Madeleine Grace, and Normand Gingras. He has studied piano with Dr. Jonathan Moyer and Erik Thompson and harpsichord with Mark Edwards. Matthew is a conducting student of Tiffany Chang. Matthew performs as a solo organist mostly throughout Southern New England (MA and RI), as well as Lorain and Cuyahoga counties of Ohio. He has also appeared as an accompanist with local choral groups -- most recently with the West Shore Chorale in Lakewood, OH. Matthew has also appeared as a soloist with orchestra, including a recent performance of Saint Saëns "Organ Symphony" with the Oberlin College Arts and Sciences Orchestra in October 2019.
