Born in Queens, New York, Matt Gold began playing guitar at age 9. He has since performed in venues around the world including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, The Mozarteum in Salzberg, The Bear Creek Music and Arts Festival, and numerous others. Matt has also appeared on television and radio, with appearances on NBC, FOX, and NPR's Around Noon with Dee Perry. A simple twist of fate brought Matt to Oberlin College and Conservatory where he is currently pursuing degrees in jazz guitar and history. He has shared the stage with great artists such as Dave Liebman, Jamey Haddad, Nicholas Payton, J-Live, and Underground System. In addition to guitar, Matt frequently performs on electric bass, drum set, and steel pan.
