Kirk Pearson is an award-winning composer and researcher who splits his time between the midwest and the Internet. Pearson’s music has been featured on PBS, TEDx, NPR’s “Radiolab,” and in hundreds of films for clients such as Greenpeace, Nike, HP, and Sundance Film Festival. Born into a world of digital communication, his art tends to focus about information and networks in an increasingly globalized world-- from concertos for 3D printers to massive walk-through installations that incorporate real-time data. Pearson presently studies composition at Oberlin Conservatory in addition to geology and cinema studies at the adjoining college.
