Alumni Participant

Grace Amber (Gracy) will draw from her winter term sewing experience to launch her Creativity Fund venture this summer. Her Winter term project incorporated both sewing designs from scratch and redesigning pre-made clothing. Amber will locate her summer project in her hometown of Chelsea, Vermont. High on the list of the benefits of working out of Vermont is proximity to her parents, Peter and Robin Amber, and three younger siblings. Amber graduated from Chelsea Public High School, where she was schooled nearly all of elementary, middle, and high school. Junior year, she attended a semester program located on a farm, The Mountain School of Milton Academy. Amber spent Senior year taking a full schedule of college classes through the Vermont Academy of Science and Technology. At Oberlin College, Amber is a member of the Varsity Lacrosse team, Apparel Design team, and Recycled Product Coop. She also works as an America Reads tutor at Prospect Elementary and enjoys throwing pottery at the Pottery Coop.
