Felicia Heiney is a 21-year-old Oberlin College student with a major in Comparative Literature and a minor in Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies who is deeply committed to social and economic justice. She hails from the small town of Highland Park, New Jersey where she started her social impact venture LIVE for Young Women. A third-generation Holocaust survivor and Mizrahi Jew of Egyptian, Iraqi, Syrian and Polish heritage, Felicia believes that social justice and healing are necessary in every corner of the Earth, but allows her mother’s wise words, “Charity begins in the home,” to guide her efforts. Felicia speaks Spanish and Hebrew and intends to use her language skills to broaden her social justice efforts.
