Major: American History

Duncan Standish, OC ’13, originally from Portland, Oregon, currently studies American history. In high school he was involved with many local music programs, including the Pacific Crest Jazz Orchestra of the American Music Program, which was recently featured on Esperanza Spalding’s album Radio Music Society. With these and other groups, he has shared the stage with such national jazz luminaries as Javon Jackson and Terrell Stafford, and he has had the privilege of studying percussion privately with Mel Brown, Alan Jones, and Billy Hart.
